Ollo, ollo.today · updated 26 October 2026

The short version

Ollo works without an account and without your name or email. We only record how you play if you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time. There are no ads, and we don't sell data.

What we keep so the game works

What we record only with your permission

If you choose "Allow", we record how the game is played: your guesses, the screens you open and how each game goes, and for about one visit in ten also taps, keys and how far you scroll, errors, and basic device details (screen size, language, time zone, browser, and the site that sent you). It is linked to a random session id, not to your player code or to you.

We keep this ourselves for 90 days. A small sample of it is also sent to PostHog, our analytics provider, which stores it in the EU and, for a few visits, keeps a screen recording of the game, with your player code, circle names and anything you type into a form hidden (your guesses are part of the game and are recorded). PostHog stores a small identifier in your browser to tell visits apart.

If you choose "Don't allow", none of this is recorded. Change your choice any time under "Play analytics" in the results screen.

Who processes data for us

Your rights

Your saved record is tied only to your player code, never to a name or an email address, so nobody can look you up by who you are. Everything in it is on screen in the results: your games, your streak and your circles. To be forgotten, stop using the code: a record with no saved game for 24 months is deleted, and a code that never saved a game is deleted after 30 days. Under UK data protection law you can also object to how we use your data, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
